Doree is a wedding planning and operations platform. Doree is operated by Sukh Labs Private Limited (“Doree,” “Sukh Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). References to “Doree” in this policy mean the Doree product and service as operated by Sukh Labs Private Limited.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit our website, use Doree, participate in a wedding workspace, or interact with communications sent through Doree.
By using Doree, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Doree is a product of Sukh Labs Private Limited.
Information you provide directly, which may include: name, email address, phone number, account and login information, wedding or event details, wedding dates and locations, guest names and contact information, guest relationship/group/side/category information, RSVP status and responses, dietary preferences or requirements, travel and transportation information, accommodation and room-allocation information, notes entered by planners or users, communications and responses exchanged through Doree, and information you voluntarily provide when contacting us or joining our waitlist.
Information relating to wedding guests. Doree may process information about individuals added to a wedding workspace by a wedding planner, couple, family member, or other authorised user — including names, phone numbers, RSVP information, dietary preferences, travel information, accommodation information, and other information relevant to organising the wedding. If you add another person's information to Doree, you are responsible for having an appropriate basis or permission to provide that information and for using Doree in accordance with applicable law.
Documents uploaded by guests. Where a planner or user requests documents from a guest, such as a government-issued ID, passport, or flight or train ticket, the guest may upload them through a secure link. Uploaded files may be scanned for malware by a third-party service and are visible to authorised members of the relevant wedding workspace.
Information collected automatically, such as IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, pages or features accessed, approximate usage information, error and diagnostic information, and other information necessary to operate, secure, and improve the service.
We use personal information to: provide and operate Doree; create and manage wedding workspaces; manage guest lists and RSVPs; organise wedding events; manage accommodation, travel, and transportation information; facilitate communications between planners and wedding guests; send communications through supported channels, including WhatsApp where enabled; provide customer support; respond to enquiries and waitlist requests; maintain the security and integrity of our services; detect and prevent misuse, fraud, or unauthorised activity; improve Doree and develop new features; understand how our services are used; and comply with applicable legal obligations.
We aim to collect and use information only to the extent reasonably necessary for these purposes.
Where a Doree user enables WhatsApp functionality, Doree may process phone numbers, names, messages, responses, RSVP information, and related wedding information in order to facilitate communications.
Doree sends WhatsApp messages to guests on behalf of the planner or couple who added them. A guest may also start the conversation by tapping a Doree link and messaging Doree. Planners and users who add guests are responsible for having appropriate permission or basis to contact them, as set out in our Terms of Service. Every invitation tells the guest how to opt out, and any guest can reply STOP at any time. WhatsApp communications are delivered through WhatsApp, a service provided by Meta, using Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy also apply to messages sent and received through WhatsApp. Where enabled, Doree may also send a guest an SMS containing a link that opens a WhatsApp chat with Doree. SMS messages are sent through our SMS provider and telecom operators.
Doree may process responses received through WhatsApp in order to help update or maintain relevant wedding information, such as RSVP status or guest details. Guests can opt out of further WhatsApp communications at any time by replying STOP in the WhatsApp chat, and Doree will honour that request. An opt-out applies to all weddings on Doree for that phone number.
Doree may use artificial intelligence and machine-learning technologies to provide features such as guest-list organisation and categorisation, information extraction from conversations, suggested grouping or tagging, drafting or personalising communications, identifying structured information from guest responses, and other wedding planning and operations features.
Where third-party AI providers are used, relevant information may be processed by those providers on our behalf in accordance with the applicable service arrangements.
AI-generated suggestions may be incomplete or inaccurate. Important information should be reviewed by the user before it is relied upon or used to make decisions.
We may use trusted third-party service providers to operate Doree, depending on the features you use, for cloud infrastructure and databases, website hosting and deployment, authentication, AI processing, WhatsApp, SMS and email communications, security and monitoring, and analytics and service improvement.
Our infrastructure may include services such as Supabase, Vercel, Anthropic, Meta (WhatsApp), MSG91 (SMS), Resend (email) and Cloudmersive (scanning uploaded files for malware), or other providers we may adopt as Doree develops. Most of these providers process information on our behalf only as necessary to provide their services to us. WhatsApp and Meta also handle information under their own terms and privacy policy.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information: to service providers that help us operate Doree; when a user instructs us to do so; to wedding planners, couples, or other authorised users within the relevant wedding workspace; when necessary to provide a requested feature or communication; to comply with applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request; to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of Doree, our users, or others; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction.
Doree is designed to facilitate collaboration between people organising a wedding. Depending on the features used and permissions configured by the workspace administrator, information may be visible to other authorised members of that wedding workspace — for example, a planner or authorised wedding organiser may be able to access guest names, contact information, RSVP information, accommodation information, travel information, or other information added to the workspace.
Please do not add information to a wedding workspace unless you are authorised to do so.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the required services, maintain the relevant wedding workspace, meet contractual or operational requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
When information is no longer required for these purposes, we may delete, anonymise, or otherwise securely dispose of it, subject to applicable legal or legitimate business requirements.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including rights to request access to information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of information where applicable, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, request information about how your personal information is processed, and raise a grievance regarding our handling of personal information.
To exercise your rights or raise a privacy-related concern, contact hello@doree.io. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
Where consent is the basis for processing, withdrawal of consent will not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal. Applicable law may also permit certain processing to continue after withdrawal.
Doree is intended for use by adults organising and participating in weddings. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information directly from children. If you believe that information relating to a child has been provided to Doree improperly, please contact us at hello@doree.io.
Some of our service providers may process information using infrastructure located outside India. Where personal information is transferred or processed outside India, we will take steps required by applicable law.
Doree may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary to operate the website, maintain sessions, understand usage, improve performance, or provide relevant functionality. Where required by applicable law, we will obtain appropriate consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies. You can manage certain cookie settings through your browser.
Doree may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of third-party websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Doree, our practices, technology, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Doree website, application, email, or another appropriate method. The “Last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when it was most recently revised.
